LA Narrative

Living in Los Angeles can be such a hassle at times. The traffic is outrageous, freeways are packed as well as the streets. But it was a sunny day, clouds were bright and white. As my mom was driving and I was reading in the passenger seat. Everything was so peaceful and quiet as my mom drove through traffic when my back began to itch so I tried to scratch my back but i just couldn't fully satisfy the tremendous itch on my back so I unbuckled my seat belt to scratch my back.

Out of now where a loud sound rushed threw ears as my head smacked against the head part of the seat. After a couple of seconds I try to sink in my head what had just happened, as I looked back I saw the back window shattered and there was a car behind us that had hit the rear of the car.

A few minutes after the car accident I looked around and what I saw was a clutter everywhere, glass shattered and laying on the streets floor. I felt this great pain on my neck as if some one were to be stabbing me in the neck repeatedly. After a few seconds I decided to get out and see the damage that was done by the driver who struct us in the rear of the car. It wasn't much damage but the other car's front was all beat up. After seeing the damage I went back to see how my mother was doing, she was physically fine as she was before the car accident. As we both went over to check on the other driver who hit the car in the rear, he was fine as well. After figuring out what was the cause of the accident which was because he was distracted and braked in the last minute. Thus the fault was all on him for being distracted while driving.

As we waited for authorities to arrive at the scene, my mom began to talk to the young man asking for his information, while I just stood there at the scene staring at his car and at my moms car thinking to my self that I could've been dead or badly injured than I was, if he would've been driving at a high speed because I wasn't wearing my seat belt.

Once authorities arrived at the scene they began to do their drill and clean up, as for my mother and I we were asked to give information and contact any family member or friend that could pick us up.

After a day or so the pain within my neck began to grow because I thought I was fine after the car accident although I did experience some pain but I just thought that it would go away after a few minutes. What a fool, I realized that I should've informed my mother about it since the car accident. So when I did, my mother then took me to the hospital. After being assisted by the doctor, he later said that it was just an injured muscle located in my neck that was caused during the accident but i might of not felt much pain because of the adrenaline that was pumping within me.The doctor later suggested that I go see a Chiropractic for further treatments besides the pain killers he prescribed to me.

After the session at the Chiropractic I ended up being fine. I learned my lesson not to be foolish and not to unbuckle my seat belt at any moment and under no circumstances.
