LA Narrative

Living in Los Angeles can be such a hassle at times. The traffic is outrageous, freeways are packed as well as the streets. But it was a sunny day, clouds were bright and white. As my mom was driving and I was reading in the passenger seat. Everything was so peaceful and quiet as my mom drove through traffic when my back began to itch so I tried to scratch my back but i just couldn't fully satisfy the tremendous itch on my back so I unbuckled my seat belt to scratch my back.

Out of now where a loud sound rushed threw ears as my head smacked against the head part of the seat. After a couple of seconds I try to sink in my head what had just happened, as I looked back I saw the back window shattered and there was a car behind us that had hit the rear of the car.

A few minutes after the car accident I looked around and what I saw was a clutter everywhere, glass shattered and laying on the streets floor. I felt this great pain on my neck as if some one were to be stabbing me in the neck repeatedly. After a few seconds I decided to get out and see the damage that was done by the driver who struct us in the rear of the car. It wasn't much damage but the other car's front was all beat up. After seeing the damage I went back to see how my mother was doing, she was physically fine as she was before the car accident. As we both went over to check on the other driver who hit the car in the rear, he was fine as well. After figuring out what was the cause of the accident which was because he was distracted and braked in the last minute. Thus the fault was all on him for being distracted while driving.

As we waited for authorities to arrive at the scene, my mom began to talk to the young man asking for his information, while I just stood there at the scene staring at his car and at my moms car thinking to my self that I could've been dead or badly injured than I was, if he would've been driving at a high speed because I wasn't wearing my seat belt.

Once authorities arrived at the scene they began to do their drill and clean up, as for my mother and I we were asked to give information and contact any family member or friend that could pick us up.

After a day or so the pain within my neck began to grow because I thought I was fine after the car accident although I did experience some pain but I just thought that it would go away after a few minutes. What a fool, I realized that I should've informed my mother about it since the car accident. So when I did, my mother then took me to the hospital. After being assisted by the doctor, he later said that it was just an injured muscle located in my neck that was caused during the accident but i might of not felt much pain because of the adrenaline that was pumping within me.The doctor later suggested that I go see a Chiropractic for further treatments besides the pain killers he prescribed to me.

After the session at the Chiropractic I ended up being fine. I learned my lesson not to be foolish and not to unbuckle my seat belt at any moment and under no circumstances.

                                                                         Found Poem

                                                                       As lies are built,

                                                                        trust is cut off.

Ears are hermetically sealed from the lies.

As the words are caught in a trap

                                                                    then the doors close,

                                                                disappearing the mouths

                                                           which lie and continuously lie.

Trust is nailed to the floor

not letting it fly free like a bird.

                                                                         because of lies,

trust cannot fly as words cannot enter ears

cause theres no mouth for it has disappeared.

Descriptive Essay
During my winter break I traveled to Zacatecas, Mexico. The purpose of    my trip to Zacatecas was to see a house that my mother was going to sell after it being bass on to my mother by my grandma. There was just a issue, we did not know the value of the property, but what we did know was that the location of the house was in centric zone of a town which when it comes to property value real estate usually look and the location and size. Lots of things happened through out the trip to Zacatecas.

There was some bad luck going on through out the trip. First we missed out flight to the airport early in the morning because of an incident that happen in the freeway with my uncle’s car, where his front right rim flew out of its place and rolling into the side of the freeway. Luckily nothing happened to us and that’s the most important part. Since we missed our flight there was fees to reschedule our flight to Zacatecas. We then had to stay in a hotel in Mexico and wait for our flight in the next morning. The next day after making it to the airport on time and finally got out seats on the plane now we sit back and just relax, but the bad luck wasn’t over yet.

When we arrived in Zacatecas we were picked up by my mothers sister in law. Taking us to a relative’s house to stay for the week we were going to be there. Wow unbelievable, the house did not look bad after all but the only bad thing was that the doors were just so tiny and narrow since the majority of people are short in Mexico. The moment I walked in with the duffle bags, in it all my clothes and other stuff. I bumped my head hard against the top of the entrance door. Few minutes later after unpacking the taxi I began to notice that my head was feeling weird and my scalp was itchy so when I scratched it I felt the huge bump I had on my head, for me it felt like and ant pile was on my head.

After fixing the clothes into the walk in closet, I began to feel hungry after a huge meal I had eaten before our flight to Zacatecas. So I asked my mothers sister in law if I could eat anything from the kitchen and she replied “yes go ahead, make yourself home…don’t ask me to use or grab anything, my house is your house” as she was smiling. So as I ran towards the kitchen as if I were starving I accidentally slammed my foot against an uneven tile in the floor. The pain was unbearable to hold in, I began to yell and my mother came to help me up and she later put ice on my toe to reduce the swelling because my toe looked like an inflated red balloon. Even after an hour my foot was still swollen and the pain was just as it was when I had crashed my foot with the uneven tile. I had told my mother than I think its not just swollen but I think I hit the uneven tile hard enough to have fracture my toe. I could not even walk and i'm dealing with a pain that does not go away. So I told my mother if we could set up an appointment with the doctor the next morning. The sun is rising and I wake up with the pain on my foot, not such a great morning for me. We than began getting prepared and I had to eat so I did my best to walk on the bottom back of my ankle, very complicating but I managed to do it. So I went to the kitchen now knowing of the uneven tile just lying on the floor waiting for its next victim when I bumped my head again, I yelled again but this time swearing. Can’t this bad luck fade away or is their something bad I did before that is returning like people “say karma always comes back and gets you.” We then left to the doctors and they did a couple of x-rays of my foot when it came out to be a very small fracture. The doctor then gave me a prescription for pain killers and a weird looking medical device for my fractured toe. After a few hours the pain began to fade, wow what a pleasant feeling. I can now relax.

While I stayed home lying down because of my foot, my mother and my younger sibling went out to see the house and how the condition of the house was. My mother said that the house wasn’t bad looking although it was dirty because no one had been living there for seven years. They began to look to a real estate person to give them a value of the property. The value came out to be a good price…well at least in Mexico because of the economy; the property estimate value was $120,000. My mother then had to pay the real estate person a fee for evaluating the property. My mother came back to the house with exciting news to tell us, my aunt, grandmother and I. As the day was ending we went out to go eat at a restaurant called “La comida del cielo” which means foods from the heavens. The food their was astonishing and mouth watering.

After the foot and head injuries, I had no longer experienced any negative luck. We then began packing the night before the flight back to Los Angeles. It was a hurtful trip with all the injuries. But I got to visit where my grandmother was born and we found out the value of the house after all. When we got back to Los Angeles, it had been two day before new years. We got back home exhausted and jetlagged. The day of New Years we went to a house of my mother’s friend. We ate their, a lot of other people where there, there were fire works and lots of food which caught my attention the most because i'm a big eater. As soon the clock was counting down on the television and finally it twelve the room went from being a big crowd of people to big crowd of animals, people yelling “Happy New Years!!!” and beverages being smashed together. It was a fun night with the crowd of people that I had forgotten what happened in Mexico. The day after new years was a head ache, waking up late and tired because we stayed up all night celebrating. Few days later my Winter break finally came to and end and with the experience of Mexico and the celebrating in New Years Eve. I was exhausted to even go to school on Monday.

                                           Nuclear Power
The use of nuclear energy should be used because the Greenhouse’s gas has decreased since the start of the use of nuclear power. The nuclear powered plants do not affect the environmental air condition, and the cost of nuclear power is lower than other methods of energy producing because nuclear energy is more powerful.

“Ever since the world began to use Nuclear Power energy, positive results have happen in such decision like the percentage of greenhouse gas has decreased by nearly half its user in the beginning”. (www.conserve-energy-future.com). The human race should use nuclear powered energy in such safe way. If the use of gas in greenhouses have decreased as mentioned than that would result in clean air, there fore less pollution to the environment.

The use of Nuclear energy has impacted the environment in a positive way because the nuclear power plants do not release any dangerous gases like factories or any other power producing method. The nuclear power plants do not release carbon dioxide which is very harmful to the environment; the people already have gas running vehicles that are releasing carbon dioxide and only results in global warming. The environment does not need factories releasing ten times more harmful gases into the environments air, People should look at Nuclear power plants as an evolutionary step into a cleaner environment. (www.conserve-energy-future.com). “Nuclear power plants are more helpful to the environment if used properly and under extreme care”, A nuclear power plant contains radiation in certain parts inside the power plant and that’s the reason why Nuclear Power plants should be kept under extreme care.

The main economic reason to use nuclear power is that nuclear created energy is a low cost, not a very big low cost but its an lower cost than other energy methods. But to maintain these power plants will cost, beside the maintenance the creation of nuclear energy is low. Other methods and factories that create energy, use gas and uranium to create an certain amount of energy when nuclear powered energy creates that certain amount with less necessities to create energy, “like other methods they use fossil fuels to create that certain amount of energy”. Nuclear energy is more efficient to power population areas like cities, Because of its high powered energy. (www.conserve-energy-future.com)

If nuclear energy uses less harmful ingredients to the environment and does not pollute the air as other sources for energy do, And the cost of nuclear power is much lower to produce then the human race should use nuclear powered energy as a new way to provide energy for cities and other things like electric vehicles that require energy.
